The SJS Design-Build Studio is a lively option for students during recess when weather conditions prohibit outdoor play. During Studio recess, the students are able to safely practice with tools to build quick projects, such as mini-calendar easel stands. This month, the students can participate in timed building challenges. They are asked to follow design specifications to build a tower, bridge, or other structure with a limited amount of materials and time. These types of design-build challenges give students the opportunity to work together to assess a situation, make a plan, and create solutions quickly and in a really fun way. Please enjoy these photos and continue to stop back to see more exciting updates on Studio recess and class projects.
