Artwork designed by robots!! That’s what the 3rd grade students created in a lively Studio project called Scribble Bots! With the help of parent and engineer Mike Simecek, Ms. Castele’s students applied science and engineering skills to create motorized battery powered circuits. They attached their completed circuits to repurposed containers, creatively redesigned them into robot bodies, added 3 or 4 marker legs, and flipped the circuit switch to activate the bot! Students discovered some bots swerved, some swirled in circles, and some scooted sideways. We had so much fun much watching all the buzz and movement, together these bopping bots made some energetic and colorful artwork!
