Grade 1 - Insect Museum Designers
The 1st grade class designed some amazing insect displays in March. As part of their earth science curriculum, each student researched an assigned insect and applied that knowledge while creating an insect model and habitat. To begin the project, the students molded insects from clay and painted them with realistic details. Next, each student was given a clear plastic box where they thoughtfully placed materials to replicate the insects natural surroundings. For a final touch, the students added mini LED light strings to illuminate their display. Please enjoy the photos below of the students creating these spectacular, informative, and true to life insect exhibits!
A big thank you to all of the parents and grandparents who came in to help with this project!
