Updated: Feb 22
Lions, tigers, and bears! Oh my! As a creative extension of their science unit on ecosystems, the 2nd graders spent a week in the Studio designing animal habitats to reflect a particular region and climate. The students built their animals and habitat exhibits from clay, paper, and a variety of handmade and natural materials. These already spectacular exhibits became even more captivating with the addition of sounds! In this exhibit, the audience gets to participate by pressing a colorful button to hear the students present facts followed by mysterious animal and habitat sounds. This is a great way for the students to uniquely share their knowledge, while turning their exhibits into an exciting game of "Can You Guess the Animal?"
