Creatively Caring for Animals!

Updated: Dec 15, 2022

The SJS Studio is a wonderful venue for creative service learning. Through such projects, students learn more about their relationship with the communities they engage with and more about their capacity for serving others. In addition, they refine their decision-making abilities and gain other career-related skills.

For our first recess project this year, students in grades 6-8 can come into the Studio to assemble and sew crate comforters and small toys for a local animal shelter. This project is a great way to get a little fun and creative service learning in, while practicing sewing and design skills. We will donate all student made items to the Lorain County Friendship APL. Please check back to the blog to view new photos and updates.
